waveforms for neutrino events

MACRO colleagues,

One of the outcomes of our rare particle group meeting at Boston has been
the intention to process the entire waveform data set starting Aug 95.

This presents a unique opportunity for stripping out from the full data set
the *waveforms* of all the upward through-going muon events as well as of
all the low energy neutrino interaction events. I don't expect to be ready
to start such operation until mid to late June. I'm bringing this to your
attention now in order to allow time for any internal discussion and to make
sure that by the time we start spinning the tapes the input from the up-mu
working group is there.

In order to produce such DST, we'll need either an event list on a run-by-run
basis or a full analysis code that should run on the raw data. A good starting
point could be all the negative beta events in the most open minded analysis.
Although the waveforms in such DST would not allow a stand-alone analysis,
they will certainly present a strong tool for understanding the background,
any ERP hardware problem etc. Notice that the resulting up-mu waveform DST
will have the WFD buffers corresponding to the same events matched.

Please let me know.
